Now that I totally gave away a ton of wood that I could have used, I did the only natural thing: regret my decision and buy some wood.
I tend to do things without thinking. I’m usually the complete opposite and over-analyze everything to death but I suppose this is a nice way to balance things out.
I knew at that point that I needed something to hold this wood. With a quick google search, I came across a Firewood Rack and purchased the instructions for a few dollars.
Thankfully, all it took was a 4-5 PT studs, some 2-1/2 + 3 inch screws and we were off. I couldn’t just leave this on the driveway for too long. Unfortunately, I didn’t take too many pictures of the build but considering it was only a few cuts and screwing them together, there wasn’t much to see anyway.
Done! Hauled this bad boy outside and started to stack all of the wood. It was able to hold all of it and it barely seemed to buckle. The design looked to be sufficient so I was pleased.
Looking forward to utilizing the fire pit this year!
